When I first began trading, I traded all the majors and crosses. Today, I focus mostly on trading the GBP/JPY pair. Now and then, particularly when GJ is experiencing low volatility, I’ll look at and trade another pair. Often, that ends up being GBP/CAD and GBP/AUD. I rarely trade the majors anymore. I trade on the 15-minute time frame, and I don’t find them volatile enough to justify trading them, but that’s my personal preference. I know a few other traders who primarily focus on trading the majors (any pair with USD in the pair name). So, it comes down to personal preference.
